"The Life Skills class at Soquel High School experienced a peaceful and reflective session during our mindfulness training. Jason Murphy shared the practice of non-judgmental awareness with the students in an accessible manner for teenagers to incorporate into their daily lives. He offered strategies for us to take a moment during every day occurrences. For example, he suggested taking a moment to reflect when your cell phone rings. The simple act of waiting to answer the cell phone until the second or third ring provides us with a moment to gather our thoughts and respond to the call rather than react. We look forward to incorporating more mindful awareness strategies into our classroom."

"Jason Murphy has worked extensively with the At-Risk youth from Costanoa High School.   He has been instrumental in introducing Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction skills to our entire student body and has helped students further explore and use these skills through the Young Men's Group that he facilitates and in our Health class.  Everyday we see the  positive effects of the interventions that he makes in the lives of these young people.   I cannot express enough the value of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for our At-Risk youth.  These skills will certainly help them to manage their lives more successfully and become better citizens of our community."
